What data do we collect?

ToneScholar collects the following data:
Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)
Usage data of the ToneScholar services

Do we collect children’s data?

Children under 13 may not use ToneScholar’s services. We do not collect, use, or disclose personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at support@tonescholar.com. Such requests are subject to ToneScholar’s verifying to our satisfaction that the requester is in fact the child’s parent or legal guardian.

You directly provide ToneScholar with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
Register a new account or update your information in an existing account either online or in one of our mobile applications

ToneScholar collects your data so that we can:
Process your order and manage your account

When ToneScholar processes your order, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

How do we store your data?

ToneScholar securely stores your data with Google Cloud Platform and Amplitude, where access is limited to ToneScholar employees via the Principle of Least Privilege, which stipulates that each employee only has access to the minimum set of user data required to enable them to complete their job responsibilities.
ToneScholar will keep your personal identifiable information data as long as your account is active in order to save your progress, account settings, and maintain your ability to log in to your account. You way deactivate your account in your Settings. Within 18 months of deactivation or within 30 days of your request to support@tonescholar.com to have your data deleted (whichever is sooner), we will delete your data manually or automatically.

What type of marketing do we do?

ToneScholar would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like. If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date. You have the right at any time to stop ToneScholar from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please log in and navigate to your Settings page, where you will be able to opt out.

ToneScholar would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights.
Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request ToneScholar for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
